Opportunities to Serve in KidMin

We’re always looking for caring and kind volunteers to serve with our KidMin Staff and help lead our children to Jesus. Below is a list of service opportunities and basic responsibilities. Please Note: We perform background checks on anyone serving in KidMin. Just click the SERVE button below, fill out the short questionnaire, and we'll contact you shortly.
Serve in Kidmin
General

Provide a warm, friendly first impression to new families as they arrive and assist/answer questions they may have.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Check-in families using CCB software.
  • Assist with self-check-in stations as needed.
  • Welcome visitors, answer questions, and address concerns.
  • Escort visiting children to their classroom and introduce the child to the ministry staff in charge.
  • Assist first-time visitors in completing the required forms.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Every Other Month | 9:00-9:50 AM & 10:15-11:10 AM
  • Wednesdays | 6:10-7:10 PM


Meet the needs of children with special needs, creating a caring environment to teach and show them God's love during regular programming.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Provide a regular presence for your assigned child.
  • Help the child transition between activities.
  • Attend to the child in an individual manner, sometimes outside regular programming (as needed). For example, walking with them during loud worship or doing a quiet activity during lesson time.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Every Other Month | 9:15-10:30 AM or 10:45 AM-12:00 PM
  • Wednesdays | 6:30-8:00 PM

Additional Notes:
Experience with special needs children is not required but very helpful. Training will be provided.



On occasion, a substitute is needed to assume the responsibilities for a regular volunteer.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Take on the assignments normally covered by the absent volunteer.

Zoo & Barnyard

Share the love of Jesus by providing a welcoming and safe environment for infants.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Welcome parents and infants.
  • Assist parents through the check-in/out process.
  • Assist the room leader as needed.
  • Match child's tag with parent's tag during check-out.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Once a Month or More (September-August)| 9:05-10:40 AM or 10:35 AM-12:00 PM


Share the love of Jesus by providing a welcoming and safe place for infants and walkers.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Supervise volunteers and children.
  • Take attendance.
  • Lead story, song, and snack times for walkers.
  • Make children feel valued and loved.
  • Check diapers and change if necessary.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Once a Month or More (September-August) | 7:50-9:15 AM, 9:05-10:40 AM, or 10:35 AM-12:00 PM
  • Wednesdays, Weekly or Once a Month (August-May) | 6:35-8:00 PM


Share the love of Jesus by providing a welcoming and safe place for infants and walkers.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Welcome parents and children.
  • Bottle feed infants.
  • Assist the room leader during snack, story, and song times for walkers.
  • Check babies' diapers and change if necessary.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Monthly (September-August) | 7:50-9:15 AM, 9:05-10:40 AM, or 10:35 AM-12:00 PM
  • Wednesdays, Weekly or Once a Month (August-May) | 6:35-8:00 PM

Preschool
Depot, KidzTown, Candyland, & Jungle

Provide a warm, friendly first impression for families as they arrive.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Welcome children into the room.
  • Help parents complete the required information on the attendance sheets.
  • Verify each child has been checked in at a computer station before entering the classroom.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Once or Twice a Month or Every Other Month | 9:15-9:45 AM or 10:45-11:15 AM


Provide a safe, fun learning environment that guides and involves early learners in Bible teaching.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Build trust and security with children and parents.
  • Be available for all classroom situations.
  • Teach the Bible story (lesson and supplies provided).
  • Direct and manage the classroom schedule.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Once or Twice a Month or Every Other Month (preferred) (August-July) | 7:45-9:15 AM, 9:15-10:45 AM, or 10:45 AM-12:15 PM


Build relationships with older preschoolers in a small group setting through instruction and conversation.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Explain the provided craft and assist as needed.
  • Practice the memory verse.
  • Review the Bible story.
  • Supervise snack time.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Once or Twice a Month or Every Other Month (preferred) (August-July) | 9:15-10:45 AM or 10:45 AM-12:15 PM
  • Wednesdays, Every Other Week (August-May) | 6:25-8:10 PM


Provide a safe and fun learning environment for younger preschoolers.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the provided craft
  • Assist and supervise snack time.

Serving Time Options:
  • Sundays, Once or Twice a Month or Every Other Month (August-July) | 9:15-10:45 AM or 10:45 AM-12:15 PM
  • Wednesdays, Every Other Week (August-May) | 6:25-8:10 PM


Lead the older preschoolers in worship songs and motions.
Basic Responsibilities:

  • Choose songs to teach.
  • Lead the classes in songs and motions.
  • Teach early learners that praise is our gift to God.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Once or Twice a Month or Every Other Month (August-July) | 9:30-10:00 AM

K-3rd Grade

Be a welcoming and friendly face for every child who walks through our doors as we attempt to bring children to the heart of Jesus.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Welcome children and help visitors feel comfortable in an unfamiliar space.
  • Take attendance and complete check-out process for children.
  • Monitor large group time.
  • Help small groups locate supplies as needed.

Serving Time Options (August-May):

  • Sundays, Every Other Month | 9:15-10:50 AM (at the beginning and end of class time)
  • Wednesdays | 6:30-8:00 PM


Build relationships with kids in a small group setting and play an instrumental role in bringing children to the heart of Jesus.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Explain the provided activity.
  • Work on the assigned verse for the month.

Serving Time Options (August-May):

  • Sundays | 9:15-10:40 AM
  • Wednesdays | 6:30-8:00 PM


Bring children to the heart of Jesus by conveying the truths of God's Word through teaching Bible stories.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for and teach the Bible story each week.

Serving Time Options (August-May):

  • Sundays, Every Other Month | 9:15-10:30 AM
  • Sundays, Once or Twice a Month or Weekly | 10:45 AM-12:00 PM
  • Wednesdays | 6:30-8:00 PM


Bring children to the heart of Jesus by leading high-energy worship and teaching kids about a heart of worship.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Choose and lead three worship songs with motions.
  • Communicate song choices with the staff member in charge, and they'll make preparations.

Serving Time Options (August-May):

  • Sundays, Every Other Month | 9:30-9:45 AM
  • Sundays, Once or Twice a Month or Weekly | 11:00-11:30 AM
  • Wednesdays | 6:45-7:15 PM

All motions are located on our YouTube channel and will be available for your use.



Play a key support role to the lead teacher and provide a welcoming, friendly first impression for kids.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Play with, talk with, and supervise kids during the transition from 2nd to 3rd hour.
  • Assist in the classroom.
  • Participate in worship and game time with the kids.
  • Supervise and redirect kids when they get off track.

Serving Time Options:

  • Sundays, Every Other Month (August-May) | 9:15-10:40 AM
  • Sundays, Once or Twice a Month or Weekly (August-May) | 10:45 AM-12:00 PM

Additional Notes:
Middle and high school students may serve in this role with a parent's permission.

Preteens (4th-5th)

Build relationships with kids in a small group setting and play an instrumental role in bringing children to the heart of Jesus.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the week's provided small group lesson.
  • Build a sense of belonging in small group by knowing students' personal stories.
  • Pray with students in small group.
  • Teach students how to use and navigate their Bibles.
  • Build authentic and healthy relationships with students.

Serving Time Options (August-May):
  • Sundays, Weekly or Every Other Month | 9:15-10:30 AM
  • Wednesdays | 6:30-8:00 PM

Additional Notes:
A background in education is helpful but not required.



Provide a cheerful and comforting presence to children, visitors, and volunteer leaders as they enter the classroom.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile the small group and printed attendance sheets.
  • Make sure every student coming in and leaving the room has a name tag.
  • Assist in releasing children at dismissal.

Serving Time Options (August-May):

  • Sundays, Weekly or Monthly | 9:15-10:40 AM
  • Wednesdays, | 6:30-8:15 PM


Provide a cheerful and comforting presence to children, visitors, and volunteer leaders as they enter the classroom.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Review curriculum and decide how to teach.
  • Prepare for and teach the lesson.
  • Send information for slides.

Serving Time Options (August-May):

  • Sundays, Once or Twice a Month or Monthly | 9:15-10:40 AM
  • Wednesdays, Once or Twice a Month or Monthly | 6:30-8:15 PM
