What can I expect?
Leadership Development
With the support of trusted mentors, you’ll explore what it means to lead well in real-life settings. You’ll study key principles, reflect in community, and take on challenges that stretch you outside your comfort zone. Along the way, you’ll grow in confidence and develop practical skills that last.
Discipleship Growth
Jesus calls us to make disciples, and we want you to feel ready for that mission. During your Climb experience, you’ll get hands-on opportunities to discover your personal calling and how you can use your influence to serve others for God’s glory.
Missions Preparedness
Climb will open your eyes to different cultures and belief systems both globally and locally. You’ll deepen your cultural awareness, learn how to engage others with Christlike compassion, and develop the mindset and habits that prepare you for a life of mission wherever you go.
FAQs
Who is Climb for?
If you feel called to missions or want to discover your role in
God’s global Kingdom, Climb is for you! Our world is more connected
than ever, so being a modern-day Jesus follower means thinking on a
worldwide scale. Even if missions isn't “your thing,” anyone
can benefit from the leadership development and personal growth this
experience offers.
What will I do in Climb?
In the fall, you’ll prepare for your time abroad through weekly leadership training, discipleship, and student development alongside the BU@NMC community (if enrolled). Each week may look a little different, but you'll focus on growing in leadership, deepening your faith, and getting “missions ready.”
In the spring, you’ll live overseas and serve alongside modern missionaries, learning through on-field ministry. You’ll stay connected with your cohort, build on fall rhythms, and continue your BU@NMC courses online.
