Peter Damaska serves as one of NMC's Teaching Pastors and captains Adult Ministries (small groups, Small Churches, Bible studies, Men’s/Women’s Ministries, and Guest Relations). Peter's first ministry experience at NMC was as a SOAR summer intern in 1997. He joined our full-time staff in August 2023 after serving for 19 years as Lead Pastor of North Branch Wesleyan Church (North Branch, MI).

Peter graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry and earned his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. He loves connecting dots for people, whether it's connecting a truth of Scripture to everyday life, connecting someone to a spiritual community, or connecting a need to a life-giving solution.

Peter and his wife Sarah are the proud parents of William, Kate, and Eliza. Peter enjoys filling his life with music (listening, singing, playing guitar, and serving with NMC's Worship Team). He also loves to get outside to walk, sit in the shade, and enjoy a road trip—all with a book or two in hand.
