Fully Committed Disciples

The call of Jesus is crystal clear. His call is not simply to make converts, make moral improvements, make better citizens or to make people more religious. His call is to make fully committed disciples. It is time to be done with half-heartedness, going through the motions, and attempting to play the part. God’s plan is not a silly hybrid of blending some of Him and some of society with a mix of our own ideas. God’s plan is for a people that will passionately and obediently follow Him—fully committed.

Change

Change

The call of Jesus is never unclear. Jesus’ invitation to follow Him demands a response. Although nominalism and lukewarmness seem to be the preferred response to Jesus’ call, He asks for total commitment. There is an urgent yet inviting tone to His invitation. The best place for us to be is following Him closely.

Grow

Grow

Whether in marriage, business, or life, identifying the factors that enhance growth gives us valuable information. That’s true spirituality! When we identify and apply those things that accelerate spiritual growth, we best fulfill God’s call on our lives. We become the people He called us to be.

Connect

Connect

To walk fully committed to Jesus cannot be done in isolation. It must be done in connection with one another. God wired us that way. We grow that way. We thrive that way, even when we don’t feel like it. It is all about the power of plural.

Serve

Serve

Living fully committed lives calls for us to move from talk to action. We follow Jesus’ example as we serve those in the NMC body, in our communities, and in our world. At NMC, we have a wide range of ministry teams and ways to serve. If you have attended for at least six months and would like to serve on a ministry team, please visit nmc.church/serve.

Multiply

Multiply

God has called us to live beyond ourselves. He has called us to invest our gifts, talents, and abilities for the purpose of multiplication. It’s about 2 Timothy 2:2. It’s the way God wired His kingdom and the way He wants to wire us.

God

We believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and their ministry in today’s world.

Man

We believe that because of sin, man is separated from God and in need of salvation which comes only through Jesus Christ.

The Return of Christ

We believe in the visible pre-millennial return of Christ.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible, consisting of sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God given by divine inspiration and is inerrant in the original manuscripts. The Bible remains the unchanging authority in matters of Christian faith and practice.

Baptism

We believe that all believers have been commanded to follow the Lord in water baptism, which is the outward sign of an inward work. We practice only baptism by immersion.

The Spirit-Filled Life

We believe that the Holy Spirit can fill the heart of each believer, enabling them to live the victorious Christian life. The fruit of the spirit, not the gifts, are the evidence of the fullness of the spirit.

Salvation

Salvation is the result of genuine repentance of sin and faith in the atoning work of Christ. It brings forgiveness to the repentant, makes him a participant of the divine nature and gives peace with God. We call this new birth (Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:3-5).
