Life In the Word (Bible Track)
What is truth? In this class we will answer that question by digging into God’s Word and using some video excerpts from “The Truth Project.” We will look at the importance of truth, the role it plays in our lives, and how lies and deception impact us today. Come ready for teaching, discussion, and prayer. In a world where truth is often seen as relative, we need to stand on the Truth. With Pastor Jason Rohde in GH222 from 7-8 PM.
Marriage & Family Track
Walking through the various transitions of your child’s life isn’t always easy. This class will help parents, grandparents, and other caregivers navigate the transitions of their children through the different phases. Each week, we will also spend some time getting to know the staff who work in the different ministry areas from KidMin to High School Ministry. With Pastor Marty Graverson and the NextGen Team in Courtyard Commons from 7-8 PM.
Join us as we meet as a community of believers desiring to grow and study God’s Word. Together we will read and engage in discussion of Scripture and prayer with the goal of growth and life change. We will take the year to go through the New Testament, and each meeting provides the opportunity to jump in even if you have not attended previously! Facilitated by James and Sherri Ellis and Charlene Brown in the Heritage Room from 7-8 PM.
Have you ever had questions about your beliefs or why you hold the principles that you have? Have you ever heard terms you were not familiar in the Biblical context? This class is for you. We will spend each session taking a deep dive into a specific theological principle and unboxing each one in an engaging and meaningful manner. Come prepared to be challenged on matters you have taken at face value, and be prepared to walk away with some homework and a renewed desire to engage with the Word. With Preston Edwards in GH223 from 7-8 PM.
Revelation, Part 1
Christ’s revelation to the seven churches is historical, prophetical, and personal. The exhortation to each is just as relevant today as the day it was written, but there are some specific warnings that happened in the past that now are happening again within the church. And the warning is still the same, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” With Jerry Hunt in C184 from 7-8 PM.
Find godly help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce. This class lasts up to 13 weeks. Join Greg and Julie Baumgartner and a teaching team in C 180-181 from 6:45-8 PM.
Man Church (Formerly known as ESPMen)
Meeting together in small groups, we desire to experience characteristics of Jesus by seeing the heart of other brothers living out their faith and spurring one another on to lives that are fully committed to the cause of Jesus Christ. Our theme for this year is “words matter”. We will look at words like “abide,” “works,” “send,” “trust,” and “fear”. We will discover the biblical definition of each word by how it’s used in context. Come join this community of men committed to growth in Christ. Join Niel Diener at the Heritage Pavilion (or in the YMC Upper Level if it’s raining) from 7-8 PM.
Each week we gather for a devotional thought and a time of knitting. This group is led by Jean Hornish in GH 224-225 from 7-8 PM.
Oasis Cafe for Women
Join other women from NMC for worship, small group time, and a video study or speaker. This group is led by Dorie Clickovich and Dawn Ziegler in the Chapel from 7-8 PM.
We will pray specifically for the needs of our church, its people, and its partners. Pray is a guided prayer meeting where you can practice your prayer style, whether it’s leading out in prayer or quietly following. This group is led by Kent Wenger in the Prayer Room (Grand Hall Mezzanine) from 7-8 PM.
Jesus and fitness! These workouts are designed to be holy encounters that work out our faith too. A safe place for women to worship and foster better physical health. Join Michelle Engbrecht and Naomi Troyer in the Aux Gym from 7-8 PM.
Besides singing on Sundays, the choir practices and presents a musical experience. This group is a true community where encouragement and accountability are found. No audition necessary. If you have any questions, please contact our choir director, Tonya Cline at firstname.lastname@example.org. Join the choir in the Choir Room from 6:45-8 PM.
