When Jesus shows up, things multiply: • He multiplied the loaves and fish when he fed the five thousand. (Matthew 14) • He multiplied the manna for the children of Israel so they had bread to eat daily. (Exodus 16) • He multiplied the early church as they faithfully shared the good news. (Acts 2:47) • He multiplied whatever was given as He taught in Luke 6:38—“Give and it will be given to you.” • He commanded Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth. (Genesis 1:28) Jesus is all about taking what is and making it more. Little turns to much when God is in it. This month as we focus on the core value of multiplication, we’ll discover the role that God has for us individually and collectively. Small seeds can reap a big harvest. Pouring into one life can impact an entire city. One small step outside of our ourselves can have eternal impact. One sacrificial gift often opens the door for amazing impact. Each of us was created to have multiplied impact. God calls us to uncomfortable places to impact unusual people. Walking in obedience, we witness uncommon results! The stories you’ll hear in our study called, Multiply, are not sensationalized. They are the stories of ordinary people who encountered an extra-ordinary God. The results show a God whose character is to multiply whatever he touches!
