For Zion's Sake
The phrase “Jews for Jesus” began as a simple slogan in the early 1970s, coined by the media. It became the rallying cry of a movement, and eventually, the name of the organization founded in 1973 by Dr. Moishe Rosen. Starting as a small cadre of young Jewish believers in Jesus in the Haight-Ashbury District of San Francisco, the organization grew globally, and in 1996, David Brickner stepped in as executive director. David Brickner oversees the world-wide ministry of Jews for Jesus from its headquarters in San Francisco. David received his Master’s Degree in Missiology with a concentration in Jewish Evangelism and Judaic Studies from the Fuller School of World Mission. He has authored several books and has been interviewed on national television. David’s daughter, Ilana is a recent graduate of Biola. His son, Isaac, is on the missionary staff of Jews for Jesus. Isaac and his wife, Shaina, have one daughter, Nora, which makes David part of the grandparent club, a membership he is very proud of. Jews for Jesus is a missions organization on the forefront of Jewish evangelism. The ministry is reaching Jewish people for their Messiah in 13 countries and 24 cities. Jews for Jesus is passionate and dedicated to sharing the hope found in Jesus, the Messiah, with fellow Jewish people. God’s plan will result in the salvation of Jewish people and all that it encompasses: forgiveness of sin, peace with God, the hope of being in His presence for all eternity—as well as the promise of abundant life here and now. God is not willing that any should perish. He’s committed to seeing the very best for His people, for them to flourish in the fullest sense of the word, and so are we.
