TEAM is a word that has given my life so much richness and meaning over the years. I have wonderful memories of the teams I played on in junior high and high school in southwest Nebraska. My small town basketball, baseball, football, and track teams experienced a lot of success. We won multiple conference championships together. We had numerous sectional-type wins. We even had the opportunity to experience the big time stage of a playing in a state football game and losing in overtime in a state basketball game. The team successes left great memories; however, the relationships with my teammates are what created the greatest long-term impact. Though thirty years have passed since those early days in Nebraska, I still relationally connect with those teammates. TEAM is a word that holds huge value here at NMC. We have multiple Ministry Teams that exist: Kid Ministry teams, Student Ministry teams, Worship teams, Small Church Leadership teams, Men’s Ministry teams, Women’s Ministry teams, Guest Services teams, Security teams, special helps teams, and the list goes on and on. I love watching relationships form between those that play on these ministry teams. Many times, life-on-life discipleship takes place just by rubbing shoulders with other Jesus followers who are on the same team. If you’re currently not on a ministry team, consider what TEAM you want to invest yourself in to see greater KINGDOM IMPACT.
